Your Story

The power of sharing it ...

Wednesday, February 3, 2021

Hello My Friend,

Are you sharing your story?

This week I was guest speaker at
MN Rovers, a bike & outdoor club in Minneapolis.
Great group of folks,
Sharing their meeting with me.

What Fun!
Lin "Zoomed" in.

Picture me on a broomstick.
One of good witches,
Swooping in to tell a story.

My story of starting long bike-rides.
Novice at sixty years.
Launched midst my
Tears, trepidation,
Fears of failing & isolation.
And ... going anyway.

Many of you know this story.
How the group of twenty-seven 50+-year-olds,
Pedaled CA -> FL.

Excited,
Delighted with results of moving
One-mile-at-a-time,
I have been "hooked" on
Long bike trips for two decades now.

I tell that story to encourage others,
To “Stretch.”
Reach farther than you thought you could.
Live fully.

My Friend, you never know
Where your story will prompt
Someone's reaching bigger.

What you've found possible,
Lets others know what could be possible for them.
Example of expanding your life,
Can spark start for someone else.

Tell your stories!

Early life,
Later life.
Newly learned skill.
Start of adventure.
Fleeting moment.
Lifelong connection.

Share your "road map.”
Fill in blanks.

Bleak or brilliant,
Your story is of interest.

Since you know,
"It doesn't matter when you start,
It matters that you begin.”
Start now,
Tell your story.

I'd like to hear yours. email me: lin@yesithinkican.com

Hugs,
Lin

P.S. Change is coming. Though I'll continue writing this post, it will be formatted and put out by Blue Zenith Co. Posting will happen once-a-month. I value your reading along, please stick with me.
