Word-Ripples

Wednesday, October 26th, 2022

Whenever I am speaking and voice
Some adventure that ends with rejoice,
I hope that the tale
With strength will prevail,
Bringing action and joy to your choice.

Where are your word-ripples reaching?

Twice this week,
I got to give a talk / tell my story.

Every time, it is a privilege!
Every time the reaction is different.

We all bring our own experiences
To what we hear.
Our own life-story-filters
Shape how we take in what’s said.

That’s true when I am listening.
Quite sure it is for others.

I often think of my talk as
Pebble being dropped in water.
Ripples radiate from that pebble,
Sometimes for miles.
I don’t know where word-ripples go.

I do believe word-ripples are out there with
Potential … for …

Encouraging,
Explaining,
Entertaining,
Emboldening.

Where they go,
How long it takes,
If they soak in,
Who knows?

That’s true for all of us.
Our words “ripple”
Wherever, or whatever, or to whomever.

At one of this week’s talks,
On his way out,
A person said to his friend,
“She wasn’t just talking about biking,
She was talking about life.”

Huge compliment and affirmation!

Thank you.

Hugs,
Lin

Always inspiring every time I can come to hear your talk; every time word reinforce what I heard the last time & then I also hear something new or something heard before but only resonated fully this time.

I was so happy that I was able to introduce someone new to your motivational talk & philosophy on life.

Keep on inspiring all who are lucky enough to hear your wisdom of lessons learned.

On to the next adventure!

Thank you for your steady support, Sandy! I so appreciate both “old” and “new” audience, listeners, and readers!
