Where Is The Blessing In Bellyaching?

Wednesday, September 21st, 2022

(For your information:
“Bellyaching” was family G-rated
Word for b***ching.)

I’ve not been “up-to-par” this week.
Bit of ache in the tummy.
Bit of pain in the neck.
GRUMPY and GROWLING attitude
Beyond belief!

I don’t like that.
Can’t tell if physical aches make
My emotions grow fangs.

Or if sharp-toothed emotions
Make my body ache.

Either way,
Not where I wanted to be.

My tact was to rest,
LOTS—enough to get me from
“Pissy” to grateful.

Now that’s a big order
For MY fang-gleaming, growling state-of-mind.

My pivotal insight:
I realized what an advantage I have,
Being able to rest.
So many folks have no life-space
To be able to take real rest.

Happy to tell you that
I’m much better.
That chance to “look differently” and Rest,

Hugs,
Lin

Limerick:
My body and mind had conspired,
Which made me feel achy and tired.
I found that the best,
Was hours of rest.
Seems just what my psyche required.

Leave a comment for me below!

This sculpture named “Fang”, created by my sister, looks just like what I felt.
Antidote for bellyaching, bright autumn colors.

So glad you are feeling better, Lin. At least you did not lose your wonderful sense of humor during that uncomfortable time! The pictures explained it all. As always, I love hearing from you.
