What Keeps You “Plugging Along”?

Did I ask you that before?
It’s been relevant for me this week.

Staying diligent & consistent,
Increasing mileage as I ride nearly daily,
Needed an “auto-pilot” setting.

I’m at point of naming twenty miles
Be my day’s minimum
As I work my way toward longer lengths.
There are some sixty-mile days on August trip.
I need to have ridden some sixty-mile days.
I will get there.

This week I had a day when
I felt just “Done”.
Wasn’t my body,
It was my mind.

Pedaled rest of miles home.
At home, I did three Tiny Tasks.
Tiny Tasks I could actually complete.

Funny, accomplishing Tiny Tasks,
Put me back on track.
So that next day,
I could authentically smile
As I pedaled.

Who knew?
Sucess with something really little,
Got me back to working on something big.
I’ll remember that.

Hugs to you,
Lin
