What I Really Want

Wednesday, December 18, 2024

The tasks that I do are selective.
I’m choosing this as my perspective…
Be Patient and Kind.
So often I find
It’s my most important objective.

What’s your highest objective right now?

I’m staying with my stationary biking—
Though there are lots of distractions.
Using some muscles,
Clearing mind-fog,
Outweighs the “too-repetitive.”
Baseline wellness activity for me.

Being able to read-while-pedaling
Passes the time.

This time of year,
Seasonal flurry means many things
Could be required.

I have streamlined activities.

It isn’t that I’ve become efficient,
It is that many things have
Dropped away to leave
What’s important for me in this season.

Beautifully decorated places,
Arrays of special holiday foods …
I appreciate … and leave that to others.

I’m reminded that small endeavors can
Provide me with what’s needed,
Create genuine appreciation,
Encourage calm.

I’m pretty sure that
“Calm” makes me more
Patient and Kind.

Patient and Kind.

That’s what I want
For any time.
Especially for this Holiday Season.

Hugs,
Lin

Party food. Lucky us.
Party food. Lucky us.
Party food penguins. Black olives, cream cheese, tiny strips of veg. Amazing!
