Staying Flexible

Day 6 Mankato to Madison Ride
A shift in the way of proceeding,
Requires that I notice my reading,
Of how that day goes.
The difference shows,
There's more than one way of succeeding!
What helps you flex with circumstances?
Another weather forecast today for
Thunderstorms, lightning. Much rain.
For safety of us riders,
Shuttle was hired to drive folks to Lacrosse.
Our van transported bikes and luggage.
Clockwise from upper left: John and I on Root River Trail Bridge, yesterday.
Simple, efficient street-side bike parking device, Margaret and Hope at lunch,
Our bicycles in special bike-specific garage!
Fickle storm conditions—
Some heavy rain early morning,
Some heavy rain mid-afternoon.
Second-guessing, we thought we could have made it.
Our extra hours in a lovely guest house,
Talking to interesting people.
On streets of Lanesboro
Seeing excellent art works and inventive crafts.
It has been a good day.
Just not a biking day.
Local cafe fed us tasty soup
And delicious baked goods.
Extraordinary variety.
No complaints!
Clockwise from upper left: Soft new growth of Blue Spruce. Grows up to be stiff and scratchy...reminder to me: Don't do that! Towering stacks of tea I called "The Tower of Tea-za." Old railroad beidge into Lanseboro, Mural in Gunderson Hotel
Now, we are in the Gundersen Hotel & Suites in Lacrosse,
Across from Gundersen Hospital and Clinic.
Tomorrow, Saturday, is a rest day.
We will be tucked in right here.
Hugs,
Lin
P.S. I can imagine how excruciatingly difficult
It is to have to call shots a day in advance!
