Grandmother's headstone—such an emotional moment!

And a few of our afternoon in Basin...

picnic lunch in Basin, at Washington Park

At the Basin library

I visited this house, where my grandparents lived, over 70 years ago... sometimes with my sister, Karen.

My grandparents' porch—wrapped in memories.

102 degrees in Basin—Elizabeth looking cool as a cucumber!

The resemblance between Lindy and Elizabeth is amazing. Truly, she is family.

You probably mentioned, but is this grandmother on your mother’s or father’s side of the family? Great photos and stories.

It’s confusing because both were involved. The log house was my father’s parents’ (McLaughlin) home, in Basin, WY. The grave was my mother’s mother (Mary Thorley, who died when my mother was 16 years old), in Otto, WY

How nice to visit old places with so rich memories!
Looking forward to hearing more about your adventure!

So special. Wonderful to have a glimpse of your past, and of your heritage.

Thank you, Patsy! I suppose it is being at this stage of life; I felt moved by those who have gone before in a way I might not have, 20 years ago.
