Making Memories

Wednesday, April 23, 2025

When you've given thought to "what are gifts,”
Mulling and assessing some  "what ifs,”
Consult what you know.
You know this is so:
Mindful time and attention uplifts.

What makes a time memorable for you?

We've had a visit from
An adult granddaughter.

Time was quiet and calm.
Visiting held both depth
And raucous laughter.
Meals out,
Puzzles in.

Puzzling with our eldest granddaughter, Maggie

When I put words to wondering
If just being here was boring,
Adjectives like
"Restful, connecting, restorative” surfaced.

I felt that.

Our guest noted
"Special doesn't need to mean
Out of the ordinary."

Another reminder came to my mind,
"I quit seeing things as memorable
Since I'm there all the time."

Lovely sharing,
Lovely time.

I love that the Ordinary
Can be So Extraordinary.

Hugs,
Lin

P.S. I did put in a total of 34 miles / biking outside four times this week.

Maggie and GramaLin, Maggie and GranBob.
