Finishing North Shore Outing

What I Learned...

Monday, May 20, 2019

Here in Northfield,
Our North Shore time is lovely memory.

Good weather on day we got to bike distance,
Made me happy!

Rock hunting day was tactile, visual joy.
So many rocks,
So much variety.

We have favorite off-beaten-path beach,
Best rocks on North Shore.
Accessed by MANY stairs,
It reveals our physical change each time we go.

Stairway is beautiful series of
Steps and landings.
Well crafted.
Literally "breath-taking."
Happy to get to make that climb again.

I had said, "no, too steep",
"Too aerobic at this point".
Relenting was good to have done.

Destination was as rich as we wanted,
Satisfied the rock-hunt thirst.

Reminded me that
Literally "changing pace" can let us
Climb the stairs, bike the miles,
Live doing what we love.

Since we are not in danger,
And are healthy,
Reaching out, stretching, doing,
Lights up life!

Remember that I set weekly biking goal for myself?
I met Week Two mileage.
Off to great start on my personal challenge.

Hugs to each of you,
Lin

Thanks, each of you reading this website.
I'm hoping a word or two just might,
Encourage a ride,
Or help you decide,
It's time ignored interests can take flight.
