Such FUN!
Getting to share my story with this Denver audience.

Fifteen people giving me attention,
Welcoming my words and funny songs.
Staying around to talk, question,
Tell some experience.

Denver opportunity came because
Maggie Bruce Hutt,
Wonderful granddaughter,
Park Hill Branch Library employee,
Suggested me as speaker for their
"North of Fifty" series.

Great euphemism, that title.
Could be used many places

e.g. ...
The "North of Fifty" discount,
Seats reserved for "North of Fifty"
"North of Fifty" friendly gadgets.
Home design for "North of Fifty".

Denver bonus is
Maggie โ€“ Time.
Car visits from train station,
Lunch visits,
Walk visits.
Such treasures!

Last night each attendee
Who knows Maggie,
Came to tell me
Of sterling quality person she is.

My next talk is in Lake City MNโ€”
Within day long bike ride from my home.

Currently planning for me to
Bike to Lake City a day early,
Give talk morning of May 20,
Bike home with Red Wing overnight.
Three day outing.

Bob and I are hoping
To do that little ride together.
First of bike season adventures.

Stay tuned for more bike plans!

We've started putting
Maps and dreams together
For longer MN ride
Mid, late June, early July.
Early, early stages of figuring.
Even that is fun!

If you are in vicinity of Lake City, MN
Saturday, May 20, 10am,
Please come to Library.
Having known friends in audience is a gift.

Hugs to each,
Lin

Limerick:
An invite arrived from granddaughter,
Saying, "Grama, I think that you oughter
Come talk to these folks
And tell them some jokes.
Come now before you start to totter!"

Hi Lin,

Another fun venture for you. Good for you. For some getting in front of an audience is as scary as a 100 mile bike ride!

I think you said that you had biked at least part of the Mesabi Trail. Last fall I drove from Grand Rapids to Hoyt Lakes with the Trail in site of the highway at many spots. It looked like a wonderful bike ride. I see that it is closed part way from Virginia to Gilbert until Fall of 2017 due to bridge construction. There is a detour noted on their web site. Anyway, if you haven’t done that ride fully I would suggest it. There are some great little towns along the way with lots of history and things to do. One could spend a couple of days to a month and not be bored, I think. It goes through some beautiful sections of the state too. Be sure to stop at Giant’s Ridge Golf and Ski Resort and at least have a meal out on the deck. There is a Wheel Pass required for the Trail. Check their web site at http://www.mesabitrail.com.

Pedal on!
