Rides that have given great pleasure,
Are memories I’ll always treasure.
The things that I’ll do,
Will challenge me through,
And satisfy me beyond measure.
My reading’s expanding my learning,
And ramped up my interest and yearning.
If that dream is true,
The thing I could do,
Is let “planning-wheels” start their turning.
I rode all 60.5 miles today.
At times today, I thought
Best thing about the day would be
Getting to end point.
Recommitting was required, over and over.
Those times when the wind’s really blowing,
It can help you get where you’re going.
Small direction change,
Can make things quite strange,
Wind’s no longer helping, it’s slowing.
So rather than being judgmental,
What if instead, you could be gentle?
I think we will find,
That when we are kind,
Our progress is still incremental!!
On rides through countryside
I pass many stands selling Pumpkins!
Do you wonder if all of those hundreds
Become Jack-O-Lanterns?
Do you prefer crowded rush, or slower pace?
We rode about 20 miles of GOOD trail.
Very nice.
I like being on lengths of trail;
Knowing those miles are my clear route.
Bike trips have SO many
Learning Opportunities!
Self-Care is definitely one.
I get embarrassed to report that I didn’t
Bike ALL miles.
My after-lunch decision to get driven in
By SAG in van—
Very smart.
I rode with Susan, MG, & Stan.
Thank goodness! Wonderful help.
Being with folks who read directions well,
Know how to use a GPS on phone,
Got me here without being lost.
Whew, I hate being lost.
That can make me feel panicked.
I thought every item was stowed for
Easy retrieval.
Not so.
Back to square one for organizing,
Creating some order out of chaos.
When I’ve ridden with niece Elizabeth,
First two evenings always include
Are you sharing your story?
My Friend, you never know
Where your story will prompt
Someone’s reaching bigger.
