My immediate focus is preparing
A TALK for some Senior Center gigs.
I want it to be interesting,
Encouraging, — especially encouraging.
Reminding us to live fully.
Gently, gratefully, I’m home.
Biking, tasks, obligations, opportunities,
Beginning to blur together.
Yet, each exists as rich piece in my life tapestry.
Knowing THE SINGLE thing
Needing to be accomplished in a day,
Is probably my favorite things about a bike trip.
Pedal to the next destination!

I am so privileged to have been on this trip
Choosing what makes my heart sing.
Lucky me.
This has been my last day
Riding & being with this bicycle group.
You never know when your web
Of connections will overlap!
Ride took us through “Park of Trails,”
In Rochester NY.
“Notorious for people getting lost.”
My good fortune—riding behind Nancy!
Not lost.

We rode about 20 miles of GOOD trail.
Very nice.
I like being on lengths of trail;
Knowing those miles are my clear route.
For a couple of months,
My total focus — riding miles, gaining strength.
Good results, I am stronger.
Effort well-put.
Riding one day this week,
Passing corn field, I thought…
Two 62-mile ride days this week!
Whew! Made me tired & I did it.
At about 45 miles,
I started thinking,
My extending training rides are
Major focus these days.
Satisfaction of daily gain,
Makes hard work okay for now.
Six weeks from June 20 until Empire State Bike Tour.
Disappointment was my take—
Not getting to meet on Root River Trail,
For bike ride with son & young boys,
Plus, picnic in a park.
Seemed like loss.
Yippee!
Positive start on longer ride-days.
20, 30, even a 40 miler this week!
Showing up,
Completing the task.
Grumbling as I go.
I guess that’s “consistent & persistent”.
