An outcome from time spent connecting,
With caring and thought intersecting.
A confidence boost,
My worries reduced,
I move on with new hope reflecting.
When I have a “run” of forgetting,
No doubt the results are upsetting.
I’m close to despair,
Still one can declare,
An outcome may show up abetting.
While biking inside, I growl and groan,
“This is so BORING, I sigh and moan,”
Then I hear that nudge,
And I think “Oh, fudge!
I must step beyond my comfort zone!”
My bike ride turn’d into sightseeing.
With viewing that prompted wellbeing.
With colors intense,
On murals immense,
A true rush of Joy guaranteeing.
Today my bike tripping is ending,
I’m grateful I’ve had the time spending,
Those miles on the road,
Creating an ode,
Of biking and friendship, all blending.
When you ride a trail with directions,
Expecting the signs as reflections,
Of where you will go,
And then it’s not so,
You’re likely to have some objections.
When met with a sign saying “detour,”
One juggles what’s said with the allure,
Of making it through.
But it might be true,
You’d find yourself stranded, so be sure!
Getting the gift of a story told,
You listen close as the words unfold.
Trusted with sharing,
Known to be caring,
This time is surely a “piece-of-gold.”
You’ve gathered the right information,
Put time into your calculation
Of where you must be
And who you can see.
The trip now becomes celebration.
A great joy for me comes from biking.
Though it’s not to everyone’s liking.
Do what is your “Fun,”
You’ll feel like you “Won.”
Brings joy to your life that’s quite striking.
When change comes about and I feel sad,
My boat rocks and things seem to go bad.
And rather than miffed,
Could I find some gift
To name as “Appreciate-launch-pad?”
Commitment is often a hurdle,
Constraining, so much like a girdle.
See how you can fit,
Just one little bit,
To move you; remember a turtle.
