My outing to view Fermentation,
Required my mind’s adaptation.
New thinking through Art,
With messages smart.
I learned from each field observation.
I wonder as I keep on changing,
How I’ll go about with arranging
Activities smart
That feed soul and heart.
My thoughts are unclear and wide-ranging.
My body and mind had conspired,
Which made me feel achy and tired.
I found that the best,
Was hours of rest.
Seems just what my psyche required.
You think that you know from your mapping,
The “all” of the ride you are tapping.
It could be that you,
Change to something new.
Original mapping, now scrapping.
Hearing “Bloops” can cause hilarity.
Answers one speaks with sincerity—
That don’t match at all,
Can even appall,
Lacking my hearing’s dexterity.
Reviewing the contents of each day,
I often pass over and just say,
“It’s really so small,
No meaning at all”.
Deserving instead, a big Hooray!
On hot days when riding seems frightful,
To be out, is less than delightful.
Explore a new way,
Engage in your day.
Make all of your choices “insightful.”
All riding in the van is quite rare,
It gives opportunity to share,
Our stories we tell,
And get to know well,
Our seat mate—connections build more care!
When motion becomes automatic,
When thoughtless, it is problematic.
So, keep your mind clear.
Then actions, my dear,
Will show up as nothing dramatic.
at covers your need.
When really your deed
Is getting some help with your brave ask.
To train for this ride is a “carrot,”
It gives indoor cycling great merit.
I’ll regain my strength,
And pedal the length
Of trails on this trip; I will swear it!
If rather than moving, you’re stalling,
If couch-time is what you hear calling,
Think what you can find,
To spark up your mind.
An outcome, completely enthralling.
