When I have a “run” of forgetting,
No doubt the results are upsetting.
I’m close to despair,
Still one can declare,
An outcome may show up abetting.
Hearing “Bloops” can cause hilarity.
Answers one speaks with sincerity—
That don’t match at all,
Can even appall,
Lacking my hearing’s dexterity.
Consider the power in a change of perspective.
I learned that “kill” means “river” in Dutch.
Makes the town name “better to my ear.”
On road at 6:45 a.m.
Attempt to beat-the-heat.
Trail beside Hudson River,
Lovely trees, great views.
“Aunt Lin, you’ll have hills on your ride,”
Niece Elizabeth said in an email,
About two months ago.
Hills-schmills, I thought.
I can pedal up hills.
What are you able to do to vary your routine?
Bob and I took another “loop” drive.
Our three-hour outing,
Started and ended in our own garage.
How have you “livened” up your COVID life this week?
Let me think of that question for myself …
Stationary bike riding let me finish very good book.
My granddaughter got to go camping. I asked what she had for food. “Hot dogs.”
