Day 9: Mankato to Madison Ride
When all things show up in your favor,
It's easy to take in and savor,
Without saying "why,"
And why would you try?
Just soak up the day's special "flavor.”
How do you describe an EXCELLENT day?
Today needs very few words.....
Fabulous! Fabulous!
Clockwise from upper left: Memorial Day half-mast flags. Early morning luggage line-up awaiting loading. Cindy from Vermont and Lin. Bikes parked by company van. Lunch in progress.
Have you ever noticed that
When things are Not going well,
One finds endless words
To relay the problems.
Think time with trusted friend,
Your turn in a "check-in" circle,
Or shared words at the end of a day.
A few more words for today:
Boscobel to Spring Green, WI: 38 miles.
Sunshine, moderate temp, wind-at-back, gorgeous scenery.
Even mile-and-half of gravel didn't dominate or dampen
Delight.
Left to right: Lin and Sharon appreciating lunch! Wisconsin River ... water levels high.
If any of you are ever biking rural WI,
Ride on "Old C.”
Quiet paved road, through WI's beautiful farms.
It is worth every pedal-stroke.
Perhaps our not having ridden for two days,
Heightened appreciation of
Moving via our own effort
Through wonderful countryside,
With all "systems' in our favor.
Love it!
Hugs,
Lin
